Welcome St. Joseph Parishioners!
I am honored to return for an ninth year of working with the St. Joseph Parish in Richardson, TX as the photographer for the Holy Sacraments and fun events throughout the Parish and School. My family has attended St. Joseph since my childhood, (with the majority of which my first Sacraments being performed by Msgr. Don Fischer). My husband Hal joined me as a Catholic the day of our wedding rehearsal after going through the RCIA process. His first Holy Communion was received on our wedding day, March 28th, at St. Joseph's. Our five children have been baptized in the parish, and the oldest two have received their first Reconciliation and Holy Communion in our parish, (with the others to follow in a few years). It truly is a joy to photograph you and your children as your family goes through these amazing milestones in the Church.
As a photographer, my typical work is much different than the event photography that you will see as you explore your portraits. My calling as a photographer is to take people and lift them up through photography. I take joy in helping cancer survivors, bullied teens, tired moms, and Grandma's who feel like they are past their prime feel beautiful in the body that God gave them. Some will take this feeling and live it every day, and others take it and know that they can be as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. The newfound confidence and energy often elevates their daily lives and helps them to fulfill their daily calling. I encourage you to take a peek at my studio portraits to see if this may help elevate you or someone you care about.
Finally, Congratulations on celebrating your Sacraments! Whether you are a student, recently Confirmed, a First Communion Recipient or are entering into the Catholic Church after being in RCIA, welcome to a life where you are closer to our Lord.
